SAS Fours et Réfractaires is a French company specializing in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of industrial furnaces, refractory products, and heating elements. Founded in 1934 by Henri Garreau in Nanterre, it remains today an independent family business, 100% owned by the founding family.
Over 85 years of activity, SAS FOURS has become one of the leading players in industrial thermal engineering in France, with 80% of the French foundry market among its clients and an international presence (25% of revenue from exports).

Based in the industrial zone of Nanterre, SAS FOURS has a 5,000 m² site bringing together its manufacturing workshops, laboratory, design office, and its sales and technical teams.
Our organization covers the entire value chain: design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. This vertical integration enables us to ensure responsiveness, technical consistency, and quality at every stage.
With 25% of revenue generated from exports, SAS FOURS also supports international clients across Europe and beyond.

1985 Company founded by Henri Garreau. Study and manufacture of refractory products for iron, steel, and aluminum foundries

1960 Expansion of the refractory market through product innovation and the use of projection machines designed in-house.

1966 Extension of the range to dry products for electric furnaces.

1974 Oil crisis: faced with the disappearance of 50% of French foundries, the company thoroughly transformed its production facilities.

1980 Strategic diversification: extending refractory expertise into heat-treatment activities.

1990 Design and manufacture of the first heat-treatment furnace created by the company. Development of a Thermal Engineering service.

1995 ISO 9002 certification by AFAQ for the manufacture and distribution of refractory products.

1996 Active partnership with Sté SEVA (SAINT GOBAIN) to develop special furnaces for glass firing.

1997 Development of a prototype for installing silica products.

2000 Manufacture of 6 aluminum melting furnaces, including 4 with a capacity of 45 tonnes.

2003 ISO 9001:2000 certification.

2012 OTTO JUNKER representation for induction melting furnaces and heat-treatment furnaces for aluminum.

2013 Agreement with a global leader for the exclusive distribution of high-performance silicon carbide and MoSi₂ heating elements.
